Who needs an interpretive plan ?

If you’re planning new interpretation, a new visitor facility or thinking of revitalising old displays, interpretive panels, trails, leaflets, programmes then a plan is essential to determine the quality of the visitor experience. A comprehensive plan draws together many strands of information to provide the clarity and vision to successfully tell your sites stories.

A plan:

  • Clarifies your sites purpose, ambitions and goals
  • Provides analysis of visitor use
  • Determines the most relevant themes and story lines.
  • Establishes measurable interpretive objectives
  • Identifies the most appropriate interpretive media for your messages
  • Details who should be involved
  • Examines implementation and maintainance costs
  • Considers the visitors interests

We'll lead you

through the complexities of the planning process. Following the detailed 5M interpretive planning model developed in the US, we'll ask the right questions to make the best decisions.
